GUJRANWALA, July 15: A car showroom owner was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Rahwali on Monday.

Jawad Maqbool, 25, was sitting in the compound of his house when the main door was knocked at. As he went out of his house, the gunmen opened fire on him and escaped. He was taken to the Civil Hospital where he died.

Cantonment police have registered a case.

ROBBERIES: A family and a trader were robbed on Monday.

Zulfiqar Ali was on his way to his shop after withdrawing Rs250,000 in cash from a bank on the GT Road. He was deprived of his cash by four gunmen. They opened fire on him when he put up resistance. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital in critical condition.

Three outlaws intercepted the family of Muhammad Mushtaq riding a car near Ratta Jheel snatched Rs40,000 in cash and jewellery.
