ROME, July 11: Next month’s Italian Super-Cup opposing the league and cup winners is to be held in the unlikely setting of Tripoli, the capital of Libya, the Datasport agency said Thursday.
The game between Juventus and Parma is set for the 70,000 capacity national stadium on Aug 25.
League champions Juventus are known to have ties with the north African country as a company run by Al-Saadi Kahhafi, the son of Libyan leader Moammar Qadhafi, holds 7.5 percent of its share capital.—AFP
