HYDERABAD, July 10: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, here on Wednesday announced the result of SSC part-II, science group, annual examination of 2002.

Among the male candidates, ten students of the Cadet College Petaro, are among the top ten, four of them securing equal marks, while one student each from the Cadet College, Sanghar, and the Army Public School, Hyderabad Cantt, and two students of the St. Bonaventure High School are also among the top ten.

Among girl students, Sidra Saeed, daughter of Saeed Ahmad Shaikh, of the Happy Homes High School, Kotri, secured first position by obtaining 765 marks while Mehvish, daughter of Mohammad Farooq Shaikh, of the St. Marys Girls High School, Hyderabad, and Nisha Kumari, daughter of Bhavani Shankar, of the Government Girls High School, Umerkot, secured second and third position with 763 and 760 marks respectively.

Among boy students, Faisal Jaffar, son of Jaffar Ali Jat, secured first position by obtaining 761 marks, Naveed Ahmad, son of Ghaus Mohammad Barijo, and Abid Ali, son of Sabir Hussain Tanooli, shared the second position by taking 759 marks each while Taufiq Ahmad, son of Ali Murad Bhayo, secured third position with 758 marks. All the four position holders are the students of Cadet College, Petaro.

Out of 50,094 candidates, including 18,050 girls, who appeared in the examination, 34,649 students, including 12,619 girl students, were declared pass in all subjects.

The result of 660 students, including 183 girls, has been withheld by the BISE for various reasons.
