NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 3: Seventy seasonal labourers observed a token hunger strike in Mehrabpur on Wednesday against the Star Cotton Factory management.

They told newsmen that the workers employed by the factory during the last several years were not being engaged this season.

The workers complained that the factory management was employing labourers from another province during this season, resultantly they and their families were starving.

They demanded of Naushahro Feroze district government to intervene and convince the factory management to employ local labourers instead of bringing workers from another province.
