LARKANA, Nov 1: Different police parties had gone into Balochistan with the task to trace out the outlaws who had stormed Bugti colony police station in Kandhkot, Jacobabad.

The attackers armed with sophisticated weapons had killed one cop Mukhtiar Ahmed Abro, injured two— Gullan Khan Mangi and Bashir Ahmed Jakhrani and had taken away 28, 11 G-3 rifle, one brain gun, one 7.62 rifle, one wireless set, one walki talki set and 750 rounds of SMG with them.

The teams being headed by senior police officers, police sources told ‘Dawn’ on Thursday night, would also try to recover the arms and ammunition looted from the police station.

The DIG Larkana Sardar Fayyaz Ahmed Khan Leghari was in touch with the Inspector General of Police Sindh Syed Kamal Shah regarding any development.

If needed Nawab Akbar Bugti’s help would be sought to lay hands on the attackers of police station and recover the arms and ammunition looted from the police station the sources said.

The security in the area had been mounted in the wake of the attack on Bugti colony police station the sources said adding that efforts were underway to making permanent arrangements to frustrate the evil designs of outlaws and plug the growing activities of dacoits along side the Sindh-Balochistan border. Already 38 check posts had been set up along Baluchistan border to check the criminals’ activities, the sources told this scribe.

These check points are manned by Frontier constabulary (FC) and police jointly. They are deployed from Zero point to Garhi Khairo with the strength of 12 platoons of FC.

INJURED: Seven passengers, two among them were critically injured when a Ratodero-bond bus rammed into a mosque near Mirpur Bhutto on Thursday.

A bus while negotiating a turn on Ratodero-Naudero ploughed into a mosque when the driver lost control over the steering resulting into the injuries to seven passengers and pedestrians passing by the mosque. They were identified as Aamir Ali Khatyan, Muhammed Khatyan, Abdul Wahid, Manzoor Ali, Aziz, Ali Murad and Muhmmed Bakhsh.

The seriously injured passengers Aamir Ali and Muhammed were shifted to Chandka Medical College Teaching Hospital while others were admitted in taluka hospital Ratodero.

The driver of the bus slipped the scene. Ratodero police were investigating.
