HYDERABAD, June 26: The university of Sindh on Monday announced the schedule of admissions in MPhil degree programme in different subjects for the academic session of 2002-2003.

The subjects include Arabic, Sindhi, Commerce, Islamic Culture, Muslim History, Botany, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Information Technology, Pharmacy, Statistics, Zooloy, Economics, General History, International Relations, Public Administration, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Development Studies including Agricultural Economics and Applied Economics.

The candidates with master’s degree with good second division in relevant disciplines from the university or equivalent qualification from any other recognized university are eligible to apply for the admissions.

The admission forms are available at the Habib Bank branches of the Old Campus, Hyderabad, and Jamshoro.

The last date for submission of the admission forms in the concerned departments/institutes has been fixed as July 15.

The entry tests and interviews of the candidates will be held on July 29 and result of the tests will be announced on Aug 1.

Last date for depositing the admission fee by the qualified candidates will be Aug 26 when the classes will commence.

LUMHS RESULTS: The controller of examinations, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, on Monday announced the results of second professional BDS annual examination held in May.

According to the face sheet, Ayesha Siddiqa, daughter of Mir Mujtaba Mughal, seat no 25, secured first position while Paras Shrestha, son of Nabin Shrestha, seat no 14, and Minninge Manuja Rajeevi Dayaratni, seat no 36, secured second and third position respectively.

Meanwhile, the registrar of the LUMHS has announced that after the summer vacations, the classes of first and second professional MBBS will begin from July 1, those of second and third professional BDS and third professional MBBS from 15 and the classes of fourth professional MBBS and final professional BDS will commence from Aug 1.

The students, who have passed their respective examinations, have been asked to pay fees and get group and roll number allotments.
