KARACHI, June 25: Three ships carrying palm oil, chemicals and phosphate are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active owing to steady arrivals of foreign flag ships. As a result, seven ships, Mar Challenger, H.S.H. Ubin, Kota Wirawani, Nord Lake to unload and load containers, Winter Star, to offload coal, Axion-1 to offload and load general cargo and Johar to unload crude oil.

Four ships, Ponl Thekwini, Ocean Luna, Parvat and Good Hope departed, while Hebi Friendship, Johar, Mar Challenger, H.S.H. Ubin and Axion-1 are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was moderate at 52,290 tons comprising 10,374 tons of export tonnage and 41,916 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Nuryanbu, with 4,000 tons of chemicals, Moza, with 7,000 tons of palm oil and Kaghan, with 16,600 tons of phosphate.

Port Qasim

KARACHI, June 25: Cargo handling activity remained moderate at port where a total cargo volume of 5,622 tons of wheat for export was handled during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Al Walliyu and Sea Pride-II besides Silver Sea, which is under arrest, were at the berths loading wheat.

Sea Power and Sea Pride-II sailed to sea on Monday while Msc Servena was expected to take berth to load and offload containers at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Tuesday.
