KARACHI: Four-year-old chestnut colt Giranari is fancied to open his New Year account should he land the day’s feature event in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Race Club on Sunday.
Placed in the two previous runs, the colt is rated to make amends by overcoming the opponents in the fourth race to go over six furlongs.
He is likely to be followed by colt The Reyan in a field of seven runners.
Four-year-old bay colt Black Victory is poised to stretch his winning run and complete hat trick by claiming the supporting and third race. He has earned promotion to class VI after returning with flying colours in the top division of class VII last weekend.
Those who come in the reckoning for places are mare Moon Baby and filly Sweet Girl.
Mare Green Kinjher is our fancy in the opener while chestnut Hamza Joy should get the better of rivals in the second.
Mare Royal Loyalty and bay Reyan The Great are likely to oblige punters in the division I and II of class VII respectively.
Jaguar, an 11-year-old horse, and bay Sonu Love Inshu have potential to rule the remaining two races.
