PESHAWAR, June 16: Former chief minister of NWFP Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao has termed the political parties decision to boycott the meeting convened by President Pervez Musharraf unfortunate, and expressed the hope that the politicians would review the decision so that the process of consultation could continue.

In a statement on Sunday, he deplored that such an extreme step at this critical juncture would harm the national interests, and urged the politicians to adopt a flexible attitude towards the pressing issues to create a congenial atmosphere in the country.

Sherpao observed that the internal and external problems had put Pakistan at a crossroads and it was incumbent upon the political leadership to work for national cohesion and unity in order to bring an end to the prevailing uncertainty among the masses.
