HYDERABAD, Oct 31: The Sindh National Unity Council of the Pakistan Oppressed Nations Movement (Ponam) at a meeting held here on Wednesday discussed in detail the prevailing national, international and regional situation with particular reference to the Sindh province and decided to accelerate the pace of activities of the Ponam.

The meeting resolved to undertake an exhaustive tour of southern Sindh from Nov 6 to 11. During this tour, the central leaders of Ponam from Baloch, Pakhtoon and Seraiki areas along with the local leadership will address Bar councils, press conference and public meetings.

According to the programme released to the Press, the Ponam central committee will meet at the Haider Manzil, Karachi, on Nov 6, address the Karachi Bar and hold press conference on Nov 7 as well as address public meeting on the same day in Malir.

On Nov 8, Ponam leaders will hold a meeting at the Taraqqi Pasand House and address public meetings in Badin and Tando Muhammad Khan. On Nov 9, they will address the Mirpurkhas Bar and a press conference and a public meeting at Mithi in the evening.

On Nov 10, Ponam leaders will attend reception a at Naukot and a public meeting at Nawabshah.

On November 11, they will meet the Press at Hyderabad and in the evening address the writers, intellectuals and poets at the Taraqqi Pasand House.

Those who attended the meeting included the chairman of Sindh Sagar Party, Maulana Azizullah Bohyo, Vice Chairman of Jeay Sindh Mahaz Agha Qamar, Jamiat Ulema-i-Sindh president Maulana Ubaidullah Bhutto, Ponam information secretary Mansoor Qadir Junejo, Sindh Hari committee president Asghar Khan Jatoi, Sindh National Congress chairman Dr. G. M. Bhurgari, SNF leaders Ayub Shar and Wali Muhammad Jamari, Sindh Thinkers Forum leaders, Ghulam Shah and Inam Bhatti.
