LAHORE, Oct 31: Tanzeem-i-Islami Amir Dr Israr Ahmed has termed as disappointing a statement attributed to President Pervez Musharraf that he was visualizing split among the Taliban and that he would not ask the United States to cut short its war against Afghanistan.

Dr Israr said in a press statement here on Wednesday that such utterances could cause a rift within the people of Pakistan but not the Taliban.
