Woman murdered for pursuing kidnap case

SHEIKHUPURA, June 13: A woman was reportedly murdered by six people in Khanpur village on Thursday for pursuing a kidnap case against the alleged killers.

Accused Anwar, Kaka, Mushtaq, Rafiq and their accomplices had kidnapped the daughter of Safia. She registered a case against them and pursued it. The accused reportedly asked her to withdraw the case but she refused to oblige them. Her refusal enraged them and killed her.

Factory Area police are investigating.

The body was handed over to the family after autopsy.

DEFRAUDED: An impostor claiming to be a Pir and his accomplice deprived a man of his cash in Sucha Sauda village on Thursday.

The impostor along with one of his disciples went to the house of Chiragh Din and told him that he could double his amount. Chiragh gave him Rs600,000 and the men escaped with the money.

Farooqabad Sadar police have registered a case.
