Old enmity claims three lives

KASUR, June 11: Three people, including a former councillor and his brother, were shot dead allegedly by rivals in Mustafabad here on Tuesday.

Nine men of the Bhutta family shot dead Sarfraz and his brother near Lorry Adda.

Later, Shafiq and Aamer Latif of the victim party intercepted a wagon near Pakki Haveli in which a member of the Bhutta family was travelling and shot him dead.

The Cantt DSP claimed having arrested three men of both the families.

SMALL LOANS: The Punjab government has waived small loans and other dues of the growers residing in 103 villages in the district which have been declared calamity-hit.

On the recommendation of the Punjab Revenue Board, the small loans up to Rs25,000 have been waived and the officials concerned have been directed not to arrest the defaulters of these villages.—APP
