LAHORE, June 10: Wazir Ahmad Qureshi, the Punjab accountant general, has set up two special counters and appointed additional staff for allocating budget for house building advances to the government servants.
The step has been taken for the convenience of the government servants, a news release issued here on Monday said. The applications will be accepted at one counter and allocation certificates delivered on the other. There will be no need for any government employee to visit the department concerned.
The AG was informed during a visit to the section concerned, that the government had allocated Rs150 million for house building advance during the last month of the current fiscal. A sum of Rs50,000 has been sanctioned per employee. —Staff Reporter
