SSC results announced

SUKKUR, June 10: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Sukkur, announced the results of the Secondary School Certificate Part-II (Class X) Annual Examinations 2002 for science and general groups on Monday.

In the science group, Anam Bukhari, daughter of Syed Ali Shah Bukhari, Roll No55875, and Maryam, daughter of Naimatullah Phulpoto, Roll No55887, were declared first class first in A-1 grade. Both studied at the Public School Sukkur and obtained 735 marks. Darshan Lal, son of Jai Ram Das, Roll No52275, of the Mehran Model School Pano Aqil was declared second in A-1 grade and obtained 725 marks. Mehwish Hussain, daughter of Ghulam Hussain Malik, Roll No82161, of the Pak-Saudi Fertilizer High School Mirpur Mathelo secured third position. She obtained 724 marks and passed in A-1 grade.

In the general group, Saindad, son of Fareed Khan Mari Baloch, of the Government High School Deparja, Sanam Shah, daughter of Jafer Ali Shah, of the Government High School Mori were declared first and second respectively, while Mohammed Shakeel, son of Mohammed Ismail Awan, of the Government School Halani, and Farina, daughter of Abdul Khaliq Larik, of the Government High School Shah Ladhani were both declared third.

A total of 30,659 candidates appeared in the examination from the science group out of which 18,877 were declared successful. 93 obtained A grade, 1,669 B grade, 8,489 C grade, 2,809 D grade, and 22 E grade, while 11,612 candidates were declared failed.

The pass percentage for the male candidates was 60.40 per cent, while those for female candidates was 65.12 per cent.

The pass percentage in the general group for both male and female students was 58 per cent.
