LAHORE, June 6: The International Confederation of Free Trade Unions has urged Indian Prime Minister Vajpaee to start a meaningful dialogue with Pakistan for resolving the conflict.
In an appeal made to the Indian premier on the request of the All-Pakistan Federation of Trade Unions, ICFTU secretary-general Guy Ryder said a lasting peace between India and Pakistan could be achieved only through talks.
He said both the countries should settle their dispute through peaceful talks and utilize their sources being used for arms build for a solution to the problems of their people. — Reporter
