LAHORE, June 6: The Lahore Development Authority allowed 50 per cent concession on Thursday in temporary commercialization fee to private hospitals and educational and information technology institutions. They were also offered the facility of paying the fee in four instalments.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the LDA governing body with city district Nazim Amer Mahmood in the chair. The LDA director general, Nazims of the six towns and representatives of the Housing and Physical Planning and Finance Departments attended the meeting.

The governing body also decided to extend the concessions allowed to the private hospitals and educational and information technology institutions commercialized on permanent basis to the institutions seeking commercialization on temporary basis. It was also decided halve the parking requirement for private hospitals and commercial organizations.

The governing body also decided to increase the salaries of the work-charged teachers of the LDA High School and make it equal to the teachers of government schools in Basic Scale 16. The body also decided to delegate to the director general the power to regularize the employees recruited in relaxation of rules after 1985.
