LAHORE, May 5: The Wagah border will be made a tourist resort for the people who come to see the flag-lowering ceremony there.
Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) officials told APP on Saturday that over 200 visitors, including foreigners, turn up every evening at the check post to see the flag-lowering ceremony.
They said that an understanding has been reached between the corporation and the Pakistan Rangers to add facilities like a tourist inn, souvenir shop, restaurant to this place.
Transport would also be provided on daily basis to people wanting to witness the flag-lowering ceremony that continues to be an attraction for people on both sides of the Indo-Pakistan border over the years.—APP
