ISLAMABAD, May 5: An artist from Karachi, Shehla Rehman, will have her paintings displayed at Alliance Francaise, 15-Sector F- 7/2, on May 7 and 8, at 6pm.

In a statement, Ms Rehman said the theme of her paintings was “Terror, torture and tears”.

She said: “I have waged a war on various social evils — violence against women, Karo Kari, child abuse, prostitution, gang rapes — as well as war against terrorism. My mission is to use my paintings to highlight these evil acts of violence against humanity. Violence must stop to make this world a peaceful place.”
