Published May 5, 2002

HANGU, May 4: Residents of Hangu took out a procession and blocked the main road in protest against what they termed the increasing raids and excesses committed by the police.

As a result, the vehicular traffic remained suspended for quite some time.

Led by the Khanbari union council Nazim Hassan Khan, the protesters criticized the police for their misbehaviour with people and demanded of the administration to transfer the corrupt officials.—Correspondent
