GREENSBORO (North Carolina), April 29: Rocco Mediate fired a closing one-under-par 71 to win the $3.8 million Greater Greensboro Classic by three strokes from Mark Calcavecchia at Forest Oaks Country Club Sunday.

Mediate finished 16-under-par on 272, three ahead of Calcavecchia (72). Jonathan Byrd carded a 66 — the day’s best round — to share third place with Chad Campbell (73) on 278. Carl Paulson (68) and Jim Gallagher Jr (69) were tied for fifth on 279.
