48,000 polling stations in Multan

MULTAN, April 29: A total 2,355 conventional and 46,000 unconventional polling stations and 3,286 booths have been set up for the presidential referendum in Multan district.

A press release issued here on Monday said 13,637 staff would man polling stations. The assistant returning officer had constituted a team comprising senior judicial officers who would ensure availability of required materials at polling stations and control any untoward situation.

A total 1,601,682 registered voters would use their right to franchise in the referendum. — Nouman
