DERA GHAZI KHAN, April 16: The All-Pakistan Professors and Lecturers Association has condemned the decision to give autonomous status to the Government College, Dera Ghazi Khan.
Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, association’s central president Syed Nazim Husain Shah said it was the responsibility of the state to provide uniform education facilities to the public.
He said such experiences at the Government College, Faisalabad, and the Government College, Lahore, had reduced the education standard in these institutions.
He threatened that teachers would protest throughout the country if the decision regarding autonomous status to various colleges was not withdrawn.
