FAISALABAD, April 13: Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool reviewed on Saturday the arrangements being made for Gen Pervez Musharraf’s public meeting at Iqbal Stadium.

According to an official handout, Punjab Chief Secretary Imtiaz Masrur, Home Secretary Brig Ijaz Shah, IGP Malik Asif Hayat, DIG Talat Mahmood, Faisalabad District Nazim Chaudhry Zahid Nazir, DCO Tahir Hussain, City Nazim Mumtaz Cheema, Tehsil Saddar Nazim Misbahuddin Zaigham and senior officers accompanied the governor.

The governor inspected preparation of the stage, arrangements of the seats, media coverage and maintenance of public address system.

Later, the governor was given detailed briefing about various aspects of the public meeting.

Faisalabad District Nazim Chaudhry Zahid Nazir and the DCO explained to the governor about security measures, arrangements for the women, traffic plan and other details.

The governor directed that all out efforts should be made to maintain discipline during the public meeting and to ensure that the participants should not face any difficulty.
