KARACHI, April 9: Pakistan will host the final of the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group one against China between Sept 20 and 22.

Pakistan earned the right after China recorded a come from behind victory against Kazakhstan in their match played at Wuhan, China.

China trailed 2-0 but won the remaining three matches.

According to rules, had Kazakhstan beaten China, the spin of coin would have decided the host nation. But a Chinese victory would have ensured Pakistan as the host country.

The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) is supposed to announce the venue of the final match. But in all probablity, it would retain Lahore’s Punjab Coaching Centre grasscourts in Bagh-i-Jinnah as the centre after Pakistan routed Taiwan 4-1.
