Mr Brahimi would meet President Gen Pervez Musharraf on Tuesday, spokesman Riaz Muhammad Khan said, adding the talks would remain focused on the Afghan situation and the process of establishing a broad-based government in Afghanistan.
Commenting on a report that Mr Brahimi had proposed setting up of a 12-member minister council in Kabul, he said the discussions were in a very initial stage and no such idea had been made by the United Nations.
However, he said, there was consensus among the international community on broad parameters — preservation of territorial integrity and unity of Afghanistan, and inclusion of all segments of Afghan population, including those outside and inside the country, in the future setup.
