SIALKOT, March 15: Sialkot SSP Muhammad Tahir on Friday dismissed from service SHO Pasrur Saddar police station Sub-Inspector Ghulam Sarwar Gondal, Sub-Inspector Imdad Husain and ASI Tahir Mahmood.

Three ASIs Chaudhry Muzaffar Husain (reader Daska DSP), Abdul Rasheed and Faiz Muhammad were compulsorily retired on charges of corruption.

ENTRY BANNED: The local district government has banned the entry of 30 ulema of various schools of thought to Sialkot during Muharram, SSP Muhammad Tahir told newsmen on Friday.

The SSP said ban had been imposed on public speaking by 27 religious leaders.

He informed the newsmen special police guards had been provided to 13 ulema Ahli Tasheeh to avert any untoward incident.

As many as 184 processions would be taken out while 1,168 majalis would be held in the district during the month, he said.

Mr Tahir reiterated a foolproof security plan had been chalked out to avert any eventuality.

TEVTA: The government is reviewing the proposal of establishing technical training centres in industrial cities.

This was stated by Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Managing Director at a meeting with Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry members here on Friday.

He assured the businessmen that technical and financial assistance would be provided to them for making exports better.
