NOWSHERA, March 15: Two persons were killed and three other received injuries, when officials of a Customs mobile squad allegedly fired at a public transport bus near Azakhel here on G.T.Road on Friday morning.

Transporters blocked the main highway for about six hours as protest, resulting in suspension of all sort of vehicular traffic between Islamabad and Peshawar.

The injured were admitted to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, where two of them were stated to be in critical condition.  

The deceased were identified as Arifullah, owner of the bus and Attiqur Rehman, bus cleaner. High-ups of the customs department has appointed Deputy Collector Siddiqullah Wazir the inquiry officer.
