LAHORE, Feb 18: Devastating bowling by Lahore Whites’ pacer Wasim Khan, who captured six for 60, restricted Rest of NWFP to 220 in their first innings on the first day of the Quaid Trophy Grade-I fixture at LCCA Ground Monday.
By close of play, Lahore Whites found themselves reeling at 74 for four.
NWFP, who decided to bat first, were well served by Adnan Raees (67) and skipper Bilal Marwat (28) who added 59 for the fifth wicket in only 50 minutes to lift the total from 100 for four to 159.
Adnan then found another useful partner in Mohammad Ibrahim (34, four fours, one six). The pair shared a partnership of 42 before Adnan fell to Wasim after hitting four boundaries while facing 113.
