HARIPUR, Feb 8: ANP President Asfandyar Wali Khan has supported government’s stand on Kashmir issue, and has said that Pakistan was not in a position of affording full scale war with India.
Speaking at the district bar here on Friday, Asfandyar reiterated his party stand on vital issues confronted by the country. Senior party leaders Syed Aqil Shah and Haji Adeel also attended the meeting.
The ANP president said as his party had never compromised on principles, it would support each and every step of the present regime provided it was aimed at securing and preserving the integrity of the homeland.
He said since his party had always kept the solidarity and integrity of the country above every thing, it would oppose and fight against the elements and moves directed towards harming the country’s very foundations.
About his party’s support to the present government on the issue of Afghanistan, he said his party had been demanding for the last 20 years that the Afghans should be left free to decide their own fate and that meddling in Afghanistan’s internal affairs should be stopped.
