DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 29: Intelligence agencies have initiated investigations against religious student organizations in the district.

Sources told Dawn on Tuesday that a crackdown might be launched on the student organizations of religious parties and the banned militant outfits in a few days.

They said the federal home ministry had ordered all the provincial governments and intelligence agencies to prepare lists of such student organizations, which had affiliations with the political parties and the banned militant religious groups.
