KARACHI, Dec 31: The Karachi office of the State Bank of Pakistan (including the Public Debt Office) will remain closed for public business on Tuesday, Jan 1, 2002.

According to an SBP press release, Jan 1 has already been declared as bank holiday by the government of Pakistan with a view to enabling the bank to close its accounts.—APP
