SUKKUR, Nov 2: At least 40 Afghan nationals were arrested in Jacobabad, during the over night raids of Thursday and Friday.
The police interrogated them throughout the day about their infiltration into Pakistan. The Afghans were held after the arrest of a suspected Afghan national, whose name was not disclosed by the police as some sensational disclosures were made by him.
The police were examining the dates of their arrival and about their stay. The majority of Afghans arrested belonged to the labour class. After these arrests the rangers and the police have tightened security of Jacobabad air base and the officials of bomb disposal department again made house-to-house search around the air base on Friday.
