LAHORE, Oct 14: Following the observance of the anti-kite flying week, the operations police have so far displayed 10,000 posters and 4,000 banners besides throwing pamphlets from air to create awareness among the masses.
According to operations police spokesman, the police seized more than 40,000 kites and 8,000 rolls of twine besides arresting 42 violators of kite-flying ban and eight people from godowns.
During Friday’s hearing before Supreme Court chief justice, DIG (Operations) Amir Zulfikar presented a CD before the court, showing one-week performance of the city police.
The chief justice appreciated the performance of the Lahore police and asked them to continue the crackdown on the violators. —Reporter
