KARACHI: IT courses for govt employees

KARACHI, May 1: Sindh IT department has started 3-month free advanced computer training courses for the Sindh government employees. These courses included hardware, networking, oracle, web designing, graphics, multimedia and visual basic.

More than 200 computers have been provided to various departments housed in the Sindh Secretariat along with internet facility.

Sindh IT Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal has urged the employees to take full benefit of this facility so as to enhance their output and efficiency for the benefit of the general public.

The minister was speaking at a meeting with employees working in various provincial departments who called on him at his office here on Saturday evening.

The delegation briefed the minister about the difficulties they were facing regarding IT.

He said the computerized working of the employees would provide relief to the people and would reduce the paper-work of the officials.

Mr Kamal advised employees to contact Project Director Mohammad Yousaf in the IT department in the secretariat at the earliest.—APP
