KARACHI, May 1: A vast area of Gulshan-i-Iqbal plunged into darkness on Sunday night after what was perceived to be a blast in a transformer.

Residents from Block 4-A said that an explosion was heard at 10.55pm with which lights went off in the whole area.

The power supply could not be restored by the KESC till our going to press.
