LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), April 30: The Parliamentary leader of tribal senators in Senate, Hamidullah Jan Afridi, has warned the doctors that disciplinary action would be taken against those who were found absent from their duty in the government-run hospitals and health units in tribal areas. Speaking to officials of the health department, paramedic staff and local elders during an anti-polio campaign at the Dogra hospital in Bara on Saturday Mr Afridi cautioned the doctors that a number of complaints have been received about running of their private clinics during duty timings.

He said the Fata parliamentarians along with the members of Agency Council would conduct surprise visits of civil hospitals and other government departments and warned of stern action against those who were found absent from their duty.

He said the government was providing better facilities to all hospitals and basic health units in tribal areas and only efficient staff would be posted at these centres.
