MPA’s bail plea rejected

NAWABSHAH, April 26: First Additional Session Judge Imdad Hussain Khoso rejected the bail application of MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio here on Tuesday. Advocate Ziaul Hassan Lanjar told reporters that they would proceed to the Sindh High Court for the bail.

MPA Chandio was arrested on kidnapping charges.

PROTEST: Residents of Dorai Mahar village staged a demonstration outside the press club in protest against a landlord, Idress Mahar, here on Tuesday.

They were led by Abdullah Mahar, Moosa, Hameer Khan and Hanif Bughio.

They said Idrees Mahar wanted to occupy the village land forcibly and he had kidnapped Abdul Shakoor, son of Abdullah Mahar, and tortured him.

On Monday, Idress Mahar and residents of the village protested against taluka police and landlord Syed Mohibullah Shah, alleging them of forcing them to vacate the village.
