ISLAMABAD, Nov 8: The nation will observe "Iqbal Day" on Tuesday with zeal and fervour to pay tribute to the great philosopher and poet, Allama Mohammad Iqbal, on his 127th birth anniversary.

Seminars and symposiums will be organized throughout the country on the life and philosophy of 'Poet of the East' who gave the idea of a separate home land for the Muslims of the subcontinent.

Educational institutions have chalked out their own programmes for the day.

Political leaders, government officials and citizens will visit the poet's mazar in Lahore and offer Fateha.-Agencies
