LAHORE, Nov 4: Karachi Whites were in deep trouble in Quaid-i- Azam Trophy match against Lahore Whites as they face daunting task of requiring 329 runs with six wickets intact to avoid follow-on on second day at Qadhafi Stadium on Thursday.

Lahore Whites declared their first innings at a formidable 565 for four in 265 overs after resuming at 362 for one, due to two more centuries by overnight Kamran Sajid (146, 19 fours, 272 balls) and skipper Aamir Sajjad (100 not out, 10 fours, one six, 128 balls).

The other overnight batsman Salman Butt failed to add any runs to his overnight total of 206, as he chased a ball off medium-pacer Fahad Khan, pitched at wide off stump to be caught by Maisam Husnain, who had dropped him on first day at 4.

Lahore Whites rubbed further salt into Karachi Whites' wounds by removing their four batsmen at the first innings total of 86 in 25.3 overs. Medium-pacer Fahad Masood did main damage by taking two wickets for only four runs.
