He said the government was trying its level best to establish more institutes, colleges and universities to impart computer education to students of not only the urban areas but also those studying in the far-flung areas of the province.
He said the government had already established seven IT universities in the province to help the students in getting computer science knowledge.
The teachers should pay heed to the needs of the students so that the students could be made useful citizens of the country, he emphasized. He assured the management of the ICMS of all-out government help in the promotion of the IT sector.
Mr Afridi appreciated the ICMS administration’s efforts at promoting the IT education in the province, saying that other private institutes should also follow the ICMS example to provide the IT education.

He also announced that short courses would be offered to the female students at a fee 80 per cent lesser than the market rates, in order to promote girls’ education in the province. Mr Khattak said the students should avail themselves of the opportunities being provided to them at the ICMS.
