BAHAWALPUR: Hearing aids given to special students

BAHAWALPUR, Nov 1: Around 108 hearing aids of superior quality were distributed among students of the deaf and dumb school on behalf of the Punjab chief minister here on Monday.

MPA Mohtarma Sitara Fayyaz, the chief guest at the distribution ceremony, said the Punjab government had approved a sum of Rs400 million in the ADP of this school.

She assured to upgrade the middle school to the matric level, remove the shortage of teachers and arrange a bus for the students.

Younus had disposed of his land sometime back and now wanted to sale more land which was opposed by his son, Sohail. On Monday, Sohail allegedly shot dead his father when he was sitting in the courtyard.

SALE POINTS: To overcome flour shortage in the open market, the district administration has set up some 147 sale points in Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar districts where a 20kg flour bag is available at subsidized rate of Rs190 per bag.

This was stated by Bahawalpur region's food deputy director Sardar Ihteshamul Haq here on Monday.

He said the atta sale under the Ramazan package had been introduced in the two districts while the same package would be started in Rahim Yar Khan within next few days.
