THATTA, Oct 31: Three of four sugar mills of the district have issued indents to growers and plan to start sugarcane crushing from Monday.

The Shah Murad Sugar Mill, Jhoke Sharif, Deewan Sugar Mill, Budho Talpur and the Laar Sugar Mill, Sujawal, have issued indents to growers. The Al-Asif Sugar Mill, Garho, is yet to start the process of sugarcane crushing.

A majority of temporary field staff of the Shah Murad Sugar Mill have complained of non-issuance of duty letters to them despite the start of sugarcane crushing process by the mill.
