QUETTA: Tribal clash leaves three dead

QUETTA, Oct 31: At least three men were killed and two others injured in a clash between two clans of the Khetran tribe in Barkhan district on Sunday.

Tribesmen of both the clans took positions in Chorkot village and exchanged fire.

"The groups fired around 100 rockets and also used automatic weapons," sources said.

They said the exchange of fire continued for around seven hours.

An official said three tribesmen were killed in the clash and rockets damaged some houses in the village.

The injured were admitted to the civil hospital, Barkhan.

Local administration facilitated a ceasefire between the groups.
