Copter crash kills 3 Indian army officers

NEW DELHI, Oct 30: Three Indian army officers have been killed in a helicopter crash in the northern hill state of Uttaranchal, an army spokesman said Saturday.

The charred bodies of Maj-Gen D.P. Singh, Lt-Col B.K. Pande and the pilot, Capt Arjun Sardana, were recovered from the high mountains of Manna Pass near the India-China border, the spokesman told the Press Trust of India. The accident occurred on Friday, he added.-AFP
