Rockets hit US bases

KABUL, Oct 19: Militants fired half a dozen rockets over US-led military outposts in southeastern Afghanistan early Tuesday in the latest in a string of post-election attacks, an official said.

Four rockets were fired onto the US-led military base in the eastern city of Jalalabad but the attack did not cause any casualties, US coalition military spokesman, Major Mark McCann told AFP.

Another two rockets landed in the perimeters of another coalition base in neighbouring Kunar province which borders Pakistan, also without causing casualties, he added.
