Better Case triumphs

LAHORE, June 2: Fancied chestnut horse Better Case lived upto  his status of favouritism when he won the feature event of the Lahore Gymkhana races at the Racecourse Sunday.

Backed at even money favourite Better Case with riding boy Qamar Zaman astride, took the lead right from the start, defeating his stablemate Half Love.

The odds-on favourite bay mare Hot Spell, who won the fourth race,  was  the  outstanding  performer  of  the  day.  The  mare continued  her  winning sequence by making it  four  in-a-row  on Sunday. The Lahore Race Club (LRC) stewards cancelled  the  third race due to paucity of runners.
