BOMBAY, Sept 11: Hundreds of policemen have been deployed in western India to protect the tomb of a 17th-century Mughal general which rightwing Hindu activists have threatened to destroy this weekend, police said on Saturday.

Hindu activist leaders said they expected tens of thousands of people to mass at the site Sunday in Mahabaleshwar, 250km from Bombay.-AFP
