KOHAT, July 24: The provincial president of Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians, Rahim Dad Khan, has categorically said that his party will not enter into any kind of deal with the government and instead continue struggle against injustice, corruption and for the supremacy of the constitution.

Speaking at a public meeting at the residence of former speaker and Senator Barrister Syed Masud Kausar he criticized the government for keeping Asif Ali Zardari behind the bars for eight long years without proving any kind of corruption against him, says a party press release issued here on Saturday.

He said that those who had left the party under NAB's pressure had been welcomed and given ministerial posts in the government whereas those who spoke for democracy and supremacy of the constitution were being punished by the establishment under a conspiracy to prolong the military rule.

He said that with the parting of ways by some of the party leaders the PPPP had strengthened and got rid off what he called hypocrites and conspirators. He alleged that these leaders had always used party positions for personal interests and for making money.

He said that contrary to claims of finance and prime ministers the basic necessities of life were available only to 15 per cent population and poverty was increasing with the passage of each day.

He lamented that on the one hand clean water was not available for the people while on the other the government had increased the defence budget. He said that prices of food items and other utilities like electricity and gas were being increased on a regular basis which had badly hit the common man.

The divisional and district presidents of PPP offered free of cost 100 kanal of land in Karak and a house in Kohat to Asif Ali Zardari who had expressed his wish to settle in the NWFP.

In response to the offer, Mr Rahimdad asked them to strengthen the party by reorganizing it at the grassroots level. He warned that if Asif Ali Zardari was not released before July 26 the PPP would launch a countrywide agitation movement.
