CHARSADDA, July 22: District Council Charsadda approved Rs 914.22 million budget for the fiscal year 2004-05 on Thursday.
District Nazim Naseer Muhammad Khan presented the budget which was unanimously approved in the council's meeting presided over by Naib Nazim Mohammad Nawaz Khan.
According to the budget document Rs873.14 would be received from the provincial government while Rs39.42 million would be arranged from the local funds.
The provincial receipts includes Rs750.275 million for salaries, Rs51.928 million for non-salary account, Rs70.74 million for development and Rs 0.222 million have been earmarked for civil defence 2003-04.
The local funds include an opening balance of Rs3.47 million, Rs35.258 million receipts from octroi and zila tax and Rs0.7 million balance with district council on June 30.
Out of Rs914.22 million expenditure, Rs70.742255 million are allocated for the development projects.
The development expenditure includes Rs10.116 million for education sector reform (ongoing schemes), Rs14.54 million district ADP (ongoing schemes), Rs6.52 million unspent balance of CCB (2003-04), Rs 39.330 million special funds for development (ADP for 2003-04) and Rs0.222 million for civil defence.
The non-development expenditure of Rs803.835 million includes Rs750.275 million for salaries and Rs51.928m for non-salary fund.
